As a rapidly expanding, financially viable web hosting company, we are seeking new talent to join our team in paradise. Our goal is to exceed customers' expectations at all times while expanding the level and scope of our services to new heights. Part of this requires a complete rebranding of the current web site, and that is where you fit in! Working closely with the Director of Marketing and Senior level staff members, you will be responsible for conceiving (presenting multiple mock-ups) and developing a new corporate website that reflects the latest in design trends and technologies. The purpose of the new site is to portray an exceedingly professional image with interactive features that allow us to collect customer data, feedback and leads. Once the corporate site is complete, you will have several other brands or lines of business to work on as well landing pages. Did we mention we want to be #1 on Google? Well, we already have a great Page Rank, so you have a lot to work with, and if you don't know what that means you need not apply. :)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with senior management to design and maintain web sites and ensure that they are visually effective, accessible and easy to use
• Translate non-technical business requirements into dynamic, functional web applications
• Manage a queue of requests of varying scope and complexity
• Integrate 3rd party applications into the web site
• Support web analytics and search engine optimization efforts through diligent coding practices
• Communicate effectively with internal clients
• Play an active role in website planning and innovation

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of web standards and browser compatibility issues
• Expert knowledge of XHTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax and the Adobe Creative Suite of Applications
• Experience with MySQL, jQuery, and popular frameworks like Prototype or Dojo
• Ability to create dynamic pages using dynamic keyword insertion for both paid and organic search traffic
• Understanding of SEO best practices including: title tags, keyword density, internal linking and page rank channelling, external linking, duplicate content issues, robots, XML sitemaps
• Very well versed in Google Analytics, Web Site Optimizer
• Basic knowledge of how to administer web servers and subversion
• Experience with web chat, quote request forms
• Web 2.0, social networking API experience desirable
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Exercises excellent judgment in analyzing and resolving complex issues
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Experience with MS Office applications

Basic Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Multimedia Design, Marketing or equivalent work experience
• 2-5 years of professional web development experience with a solid understanding of graphic design
• Candidate must have an online portfolio and must be able to develop without tables to be considered for this position

Candidates that have knowledge of the web hosting industry, dedicated servers, managed hosting, load balancing, firewalls, clustering, and databases will be strongly preferred.
